Good luck enforcing that. I guess I'll just owe a load of taxes then because I am certainly not paying any of that and I *am* keeping my guns. And that IS final...

Oh and thanks for referring to any gun owner not rich(or stupid) enough to pay that tax as "riff raff".

Gun control should START with government gun control.
That's true. With the "love" this administration has for Texas, we'd all be down here unarmed, branishing sticks and rocks to go deer hunting.

That's hilarious you say that. Approx 120,000 M1 Garand service rifles and about 5 millions rounds of .30-06 ball are sitting in Korea that could be (is waiting) to come back in to be sold. These are WWII - Korea era weapons.

Those f$#@ won't let them back in. Do you know how much money those are worth? Approx $800 -$1,500 EACH.

I don't think many of our progs know about that part of the story. They have been too busy working for gun control, whatever that turns out to be.

And they were selling for $75 dollars in the late 70s. I will never stop kicking myself in the butt for not taking advantage of that bargain. I loved that M1 Carbine and didn't buy one for that price.

I have a TS/SCI and I find your post to be utter nonsense.
Yeah, as another person with a clearance, it's overkill.

I do think that a basic background check should be required to own a gun. Violent felonies should exclude you. Certain mental illnesses should as well (although, certainly not all of them. OCD shouldn't, but major depression is a bad sign- that you'll kill yourself with it). But an extensive search, to the point of a security clearance, is overkill.

Trade you for a security clearance and valid state ID to vote.

Chilling notion isnt it.

how about a security clearance to vote, attend political rallies, or make a speech?

that would get rid of 50-60% of all democrat voters.
