I was thinking that the other day about cartoons. Heck just watching Dumbo with my kid I got to see crows, smoking cigars, and a underage elephant drinking alcohol and waking up in a tree after passing out.

We just get it shoved in our face 24/7 so it appears to be more, and different...it isn't.
Like I said..if you didn't grow up back then you can't identify with it.

The "tiny insulated town" I grew up in ? New York City my friend.

And you are still focusing on the WHAT and not the WHY.

I did grow up back then.

Good to know no one got murdered in New York "back in the day"

The "WHY" is because humans kill humans...always have and always will.

I guess you never heard of nazi gas chambers, people being slaughtered throughout history for not converting to someone else's faith, being burned to death in a factory because of greed(murder), ...oh, the list goes on and on but if you choose to ignore it...go right ahead...coccoons are so warm and definitely fuzzy.

The WHY is the motive, not the actions. All you keep stating are the actions.
And I'm not ignoring it one bit.
I've stated my opinion on what changed over the years in society.

People also didn't eat as unhealthy back then, weren't bombarded by vast amounts of food dyes, sugars, and sat on their ass with no exercise. There are probably many different factors to go on rather then just picking one's you think work.

True and kids weren't given chemicals to calm them down for 12 years in school.

There's a myriad of changes society has undergone. I'm sure there's even more that you or I have forgotten.

In my opinion though, I don't think society has gotten better from all these changes.
We are more fearful, more distrusting, more socially alone.

You think good parenting can prevent severe mental illness?

I keep seeing these posts over and over.

Has it been verified that this shooter had a severe mental illness ?
Link ?

Or are people still speculating and jumping to conclusions ?
