Here are three guns can you pick out the assault weapon.

They all are the same gun just the stock is different.

A weapon is not more dangerous because of it's looks.

Must hunting rifles are more accurate.
Assault weapon has come to mean in the American lexicon a gun with high capicity and semi auto. So you can try that narrow argument all you want its over. Assault weapon, high cap mags and semi auto. that is all that is needed to make it an assault weapon. Its what the term is used for. Gay does not mean what it did fifty years ago. It used to mean happy now it means same sex relation ships. Things chance man keep up with the now.

Btw I personally am not saying all guns should be banned but that further restrictions should be looked at - eg when buying certain guns/rifles etc perhaps not the just the buyer's mental health needs to be checked out but also any members of his immediate family residing with him; storage restrictions may need to be looked at etc.

It is possible that the US may be too far gone when it comes to guns - they are so proliferative it may be impossible to ban them totally. Other countries with low death rates from guns have always had low gun ownership and perhaps if the US had put restrictions on guns in the early 20th century, they might not be in the mess they are now. Who knows.

yep who knows? after all, if todays politicians and liberals would have been alive in the 18th century, we would all still be british subjects.

FFL laws don't change at a gun show either folks. Whoever told you that is full of dookie.

Sure the guy in the parking lot may sell a "few" of his private collection. He better damn well follow Federal and State laws while doing so. I've seen private sellers turn people away when they showed an out of State drivers license...were under age and whatnot. Even a dude who was geeked out on speeders or some kind of uppers because he was freaking out and shaking so much.

These numbers include everything from suicide, accidents, self defense and what any possible combination could account for.

Lets just say for a second all the gun deaths were proven in a court of law as true self defense and no one was guilty of murder? Then what? Are these deaths good or bad?

If a fool shoots himself with his new toy and refused to get lessons and training, who is to blame?

A lot of these numbers are probably criminals who shot and killed for greed power and gain too.... But they were criminal and were going to break laws at will anyway and there isn't a lot you can do about it..

How to you stop life time criminals from committing crime? No one can...

You can't just look at a bunch of stats and suddenly come to a understanding. And that would also include shooting by the police...

Not so bad now is it?

How lame can you get. The founding fathers were not all that great. They were screwing slaves that the owned. The writer of the DoI was humping Sally Hemmings. I don't think it was some document handed down from god, not only does god not exist, but the documents were flawed. All men are created equal but the dark colored ones. LOL Yep, FLAWED. Many of the colonists were loyalists to the crown. John Adams was the one who got the Boston Massacre shooters off. It was the American agitators who were harassing the British and made them shoot to defend them self. I guess you just don't like some people defending them self. LOL The so called tax on tea was to pay for the French and Indian war that the colonists asked for British help. As then as today, many tea baggers just don't get that war costs money.

Didn't the CT shooter use a semi-automatic assault rifle and didn't he shoot each child multiple times?

BTW, what statement has Chris Cox made concerning the this shooting in CT?
