$200-250 was likely too low. Maybe $1MM is too high. Maybe they will meet in the middle.
For couples, the top WH rate would be around 400k, 250k would see an increase, but not the max increase being reported.

My hunch is 250/400 ends up at 350/500. Otherwise, most likely, its cliff time, and after that, 250/400 will definitely stick.

You clearly don't understand what the debt ceiling is. This is hw it works:

Congress decides spending and also decides revenue. It consciously decided to spend more than it raised. Raising the debt ceiling is just to cover expenditures already made. Not raising te limit would be like you buying a car and then refusing to pay when the bill arrived.

Seriously now, Wall Street is in so deep with Washington, regardless of who is sitting the oval office, there's no taxing the hand that feeds ya.
Exactly. That's because the mainstream Left's savior, Obama, is in bed with Wall St. just like Bush was, Clinton was, etc. But, the morons worship him and fall on his feet because he's the first black president and MSNBC tell them that Obama is God. The corrupt unions were bought out, and they convince their followers that Obama is an alright guy.

While the right may despise Obama, that doesn't mean that the left worships him. In fact, the left has been quite critical of mr. Obama in his first term.

As to whether Wall St. Has undue influence, as long as money is needed for campaigns, those with money will have undo influence.

We all heard Boehner saying that raising taxes on $200K / $250K and higher would hurt small businesses and that and wanting cuts in spending has been Boehners main reason for not agreeing to the expiration of the Bush tax cuts.

Boehner suggested expiration of Bush-era tax rates for annual incomes of $1 million or more annually, beginning Jan. 1. Obama is not agreeing to the $1 million. Obama is adamant that any deal include an increase in the debt ceiling. Obama wants more spending.

The Republicans would also pass a competing bill to extend the Bush tax rates for all wage earners but that legislation would be derailed in the Democratic-led Senate.

The question is will Obama go along? Or will Obama allow a default and everyone pay higher taxes?
Oh come on, it was well established in Nov just what the Republicans are, Obama is just negotiating the price.

That's the problem. The right is very critical of Obama, for the wrong reasons of course, but the Left needs to be just as vocal and critical of him like the Right is. The criticism coming from the left is drowned out by the waves of lemmings that worship the Führer. Obama is an embarrassment to the legacy of FDR, JFK, and LBJ. His feet are nowhere near big enough to fill their shoes.

who watches MSNBC? Everyone laughs at MSNBC's low ratings yet they act like the whole world tunes in to get their marching orders.

EVERY nominee who has a legit chance of winning the POTUS is in bed with Wall St.

The left is vocal... now, you definitely have some Obama worshipers but every President has those...

I witnessed an intense argument because a lady thought it was a bad idea for the black coalition to march at the DNC with a list of demands. She was the only one who thought it was a bad idea. 15 to 20 people (all black) were telling her Obama isn't God and needs to be held accountable like any other President.

Most of the people in the room were Obama supporters but they still felt it was their right to march and list off their demands like they have done for the last 40 to 50 years.

You're right about that, MSNBC has become the laughing stock of the news media. Every word out of their mouth is to call someone racist for not agreeing. It must be that CD members tune in to get their marching orders though because as soon as MSNBC says it, you see it posted on CD.

And it's almost cultish to see the CD worship. I live in a middle class area and mention Obama and they roll their eyes. I was shocked that our state went blue. It must be that "it's too hard for me to get a photo ID" law. People say they are not seen as equals but want special considerations. Now there is a thinker.

You have no idea what you are talking about and I suspect that your opinion of MSNBC is obtained not from actually watching it, but is a mere parrot of some right-wing radio idiot.

While MSNBC has lower ratings than the Fox Propaganda Network, it consistently tops CNN. Cable News Ratings for Thursday, December 13, 2012 - Ratings | TVbytheNumbers

As we have been saying for a very long time, the voter ID laws are there to stop "the wrong people" from voting, not to stop voter fraud, which is nearly non-existent.
