Presidents do have considerable power though. The president's power is derived through the bureaucracy, and he can have the BAFTE create new rules that ban or restrict semi-autos without Congress. Of course, then Congress can overturn that law if they want to, or defund the agency if Obama doesn't comply

The Dems are running this one.
It would have to be voted through the GOP Congress. How hard it that to undertand? Obama does not create laws, Feinstain does not create laws, the Congress creates laws.

This may be news to you, but it is the way it has always worked.

The title to this thread should read "Obama and bozo liberals want to create a larger black market for guns"...

You're pretty ****ing ignorant to reality if you think making guns illegal will make them go away. If anything, they'll make it easier to get a gun...just look at how it is with drugs.

No, he cannot have BATFTA create new laws with the flip of his pen.

It is clear. This has finally been the tipping point.

Better stock up rednecks, because we're coming for the guns.
They have been stocking up for 4 years, not to worry.

You are a Smith and Wesson salesman right?

It's just a GOP House, the entire Congress is not GOP.

Incredible, isn't it! The bodies of the children are not even laid to rest yet and the gun lovers are complaining that they may have new gun regulations!

You do know there are more than two choices here right? Feel free to open your mind to the options.

While you are at it, look at the history of mass murder in areas with unarmed population.

Also, while you are at it, look at the trend in mass murders in the US since we stopped institutionalizing the mentally ill in the 1960s.

Here read this and think for yourself for once.....
