Amendment II does not restrict government from banning the manufacture and sale of guns and ammunition. Should it do so?

So where would our military buy its guns?

I believe that would infringe on states rights. Everyone says Obama banned the Keystone XL pipeline, but it is still being built.

Oh hell yes. And while they are at it perhaps they should include the following.

The Bill of Rights are the first ten amendments. Those are:
  1. Freedom of religion, speech, press, and assembly. Also, the right to petition the government.
  2. Right to bear arms.
  3. Troops may not be quartered in homes in peacetime.
  4. No unreasonable searches or seizures.
  5. Numerous protections against court action including
    • Grand jury indictment required for serious crimes.
    • No Double Jeopardy.
    • A person cannot be forced to testify against themselves.
    • No loss of life, liberty, or property without due process.
  6. Right to a speedy, public, and impartial trial.
  7. Jury trials are required in civil suits where value exceeds $20.
  8. No excessive bail or fines and no cruel or unusual punishments.
  9. Rights not listed are not necessarily denied.
  10. Powers not given expressly to the United States or denied to the states themselves are reserved to : smack:

Where? Keep and bear does not mean produce and sell by any stretch of the legal imagination. The government can curtail the production and sale of anything, either at the Federal level if in interstate commerce (which covers about everything) or if not, at the state level.

We import everything else from China so why not guns too ?
Then you have the Mexican cartels. We've already trained them how to run guns into the US.

So you advocate interfering in the free market place. Communism tried that, look where it got them.

Sign The Arm The Teachers Petition! 7,269 signed so far.

The state of Utah has always allowed teachers to carry guns in class & has never had an incident. Why can't we all have that?
