I'm a bit confused why prayer is only being allowed after a tragic incident like this & not on an every day basis.

Even the Liberal Hollywood crowd is so called "praying" for the victims. What a bunch of two face idiots.
I agree and thought the same thing. Several times.

Psssssssttttttttttttt:He didn't say a single word about prayer before the horror. He merely asked why it's OK to denounce God in one breath, then pray to him in the next. Try. The OP isn't that hard to understand. Well...for most folks.

If that were true, you and those of your ilk wouldn't pop in on threads about God. You would simply move on.

Based on what I've read, most libs and atheists don't understand the OP. They immediately jumped in and deflected, flapping their jaws and little clenched fists. As usual. Mystifying.

The OP startes with the assumption that all liberals are athiests - and he is wrong. Therefore, that makes any further discussion difficult.

The OP states that prayer is only allowed in school after a massacre and this again, is not correct.

The OP wants to be able to have a morning prayer - but to the God of HIS choice.

Would he want members of the Westboro church to visit and lead the student body in prayer? After all, they define themselves as Christians. Let's all pray to THEIR God.

I am a Christian and absolutely believe in the separation of Church and State. Prayer does NOT belong in schools because there are too many different belief systems - even amongst Christians.

How freaking hard is that to understand?

What these "christians" mean is that they can't SHOW OFF their prayers in publice schools. They can't FORCE everyone to SHOW OFF and say THEIR words.

They truly believe that their "god" person has to have a show, it can't hear silent prayers...

And these "christians" just HAVE to SHOW how "good" they are by making a SHOW of praying, they can't just BE good.

And then they FLIP FLOP and say Pride is a sin....

And I guess they need prayer in school because at home they must not have any...

Did you know that Tibetan monks can actually raise their own body temperatures several degrees during meditation? They don't feel the freezing cold ambient temperature at all during their meditative state.
And that all accomplished WHAT exactly?

.
Are these threads about god you refer to of special circumstances deserving of consideration for and including people like grieving parents?
Find an occurance in any thread where such discussion took place, arguing with a person that is currently in such an emotionally fragile state.

Well, he didn't do a damn thing to stop the killing of innocent chikdren bombed by manned aircraft so why would you expect him to act differently with drones?

What is this obsession righty-weenies have with Obama/drones as if it's somehow dofferent than killing innocents by other means?

Why does Obama allow innocents to be killed with the drones? That is a good question.

He goes around the world denouncing the US as having been arrogant with power than he kills people with drones. Innocents included. Now that makes them love us doesn't it. geesh.

As others have stated, students and teachers are free to pray in school all they want, as long as they don't force others to follow suit. My school has "pray around the flag" mornings where people can get together and pray if they so choose. Choose being the key word.
There is nothing hypocritical about keeping personal beliefs separate from work/school environments. Many people are personally religious, but don't believe in bringing religion into the classroom. Quite logical, in my opinion.

People CHOOSE to cope however they want to. This is America. TEACHING children to pray in the classroom in public schools on public tax dollars, however, is unconstitutional. There is nothing two faced about? Why is that so difficult for you to comprehend?
