The fedguv has no business regulating what people put into their own bodies, nor treating those who ingest harmful substances.

prisons are big business. there has to be crime for them to make money. imagine there was no crime, they would be broke, cops would be minimal, we would have more unemployment without criminals. they are needed.

Sure they are. It doesn't make it right though. Why should we continue to pay for the incarceration for someone in possession of pot? There are plenty of other crimes to focus on.

I don't care about people who kills themselves with drugs or with anything else. I'd only care if it was someone close to me and that would be my burden. Nobody else would have to suffer.

That's wrong, because no one can be save from drug consume.

Why is it anytime people talk about legalization some braindead person has to say something along the lines of "we don't need another thing out there"?

The drugs are already out there and the number of deaths would decrease dramatically...not just because treatment would be more readily available and less taboo, but also because drug gangs would have nothing to sell and no territory to fight over. They'd be relegated to prostitution (another vice which should be legal) as their means of financial gain.

Plus, where do you think Terrorists get their money from? It comes from the poppy fields used to produce Heroin and Opium.

The drugs are out there, we might as well make money off of them and provide law-abiding citizens with gainful and LEGAL employment so they can pay taxes and contribute to our economy. Or we can continue the status-quo, continue to provide gangstas with an unlimited stream of cash and continue funding the Cartels and Terrorists.

Do you support terrorism and drug cartels? If so, the drug war may be right for you!

Oooh oooh oooh! You mean those very same poppy fields we're protecting in Afghanistan? Just more proof that the war on drugs is immoral, and full of hypocrisy. I really wish people would stop drinking the kool aide already!

Count me in.

I see drug addiction as a disease, something that should treated and not necessarily criminalized.

Natural state agricultural product (all of them) should be legal by default.

Narcotics like heroin and cocaine (processed pharmaceuticals) should be re-medicalized
with their distribution managed by Doctors and Pharmacists.

No one should have any financial motive for distributing either type.
No one should face criminal charges for possession of anything.
Keep the cops and the Courts out of it all.

Those inclined to seek treatment for addiction should have that that available to them.

That should cover it.

Not if you end the war on pot, which is the most ridiculous drug to ban.

Pot has never killed a single person, and is impossible to get physically addicted to.
