Question for the Democrats/liberals here.

Do you support Obama signing an executive order to ban assault weapons, even though it means we will not have a say?

If not, will you protest the executive order in defense of your fellow American's right to have a fighting chance regardless of your stance?

I think this is an important question.

Thanks

Is such an executive order even legal?

What's an assault weapon, and how do you define a liberal?

The gun nuts would probably go ape-sh*t, but I'd personally have no problem with it, even though am otherwise fine with owning firearms. So why the heck does anyone need a flippin' assault rifle anyway, except to take out a crowd of people... you know, single-handedly stage an assault? Or has Bambi started wearing Kevlar these days?

If Obama were to sign such an order, it would very likely end up in the supreme court. This could backfire in a major way as the court sets limits on what the president can, and cannot do, with executive orders. In a way, it would be a fantastic outcome if we could eliminate a lot of the power that the Executive Branch has assumed over the years, but there would some very uncertain and trying times until the courts did so.

Also, I'm not a modern Liberal, but I very much subscribe to classical liberalism.

To those who vote no, you all have blood on your hands.

What if it was your child in Newtown?

That would be a law I will not follow and will defend against any law enforcement trying to forciblly take those guns. There is a limit to my patience against liberal fools thinking they can take advantage of a crisis.

Civilians don't need to conduct an assault.

So screw the other guys because you believe it's the gun owners fault and fully support bypassing congress to have your way?

So I guess the blood of the dead black Libyan children who were murdered because of race and religion by the rebels is on your hands since you support executive orders?
