So, it doesn't matter whether you're 'willing' or not. Newtown has been a tipping point, and we're coming for the automatic weapons, we're going to re-write new laws that have some common sense behind them, and we're going to reduce these kind of senseless actions.

We're done trying to get you rednecks to understand common sense.
So it's mere hate with you?

The American system of elections are a joke, you know? Or does it seem only that way when you 'lose'?
There are more irreponsible, hateful people centered around political retribution & stereotyoing their villains and they vote 'liberal'.
You reason with no one, prostituting your vision to whomever promises a kickback. There's nothing new about your type.
A demoocracy that is lead more & more by unthinking manufactured opinions droned into stupefied 'voters' by well-paid talking heads. And a majority can be created literally overnight by polls & emotional blood-letting. You think that is conspiracy? A demoocracy run by proxy thru media opinion & division is! But hey, what's another regulation imposed upon those filthy stereotypes you so abhor?

You and these fantasy 'rednecks' you think about have quite alot in common...

The NRA needs to admit that assault weapons have no place in today's society. The constitution can be modified to adapt to changes in society. Do these nuts really believe that they would stand a chance if the "Govmint comes to take arr gunz!" -- and yeah, do not deny that people do think this way. They think that their guns are the only protection against a total tyranny and government takeover.

The government has drones, tanks, nuclear bombs... Give it up. Your AR-15 has a better chance of killing our kids than saving you from the government. The cons clearly outweigh the pros here.

Right, so much better for them to take you alive like a helpless cream puff. I hear the 1 escapee from total control camp 14 in North Korea was only tortured for a few months and was "lucky". Maybe you will get that lucky.

You should hit the reset button. Only a nincompoop would think that was a vote on gun rights

Ignoring that the Franklin "quote" is a fake (he never said it), so? That magically makes us not a democracy how? Exactly?

Such a statement reveals one thing and one thing only. You actually have no idea what "democracy" means.

It's like asserting that a salmon is not a fish because it's not a tuna.

Do you prefer mob rule on this issue?

Sixth Annual Message to Congress (November 19, 1794)

"On the one hand, the judiciary was pronounced to be stripped of its capacity to enforce the laws; crimes, which reached the very existence of social order, were perpetrated without controul, the friends of government were insulted, abused, and overawed into silence, or an apparent acquiescence; and the [to] yield to the treasonable fury of so small a portion of the United States, would be to violate the fundamental principle of our constitution, which enjoins that the will of the majority shall prevail."

George Washington's Sixth address to Congress regarding the anti-tax insurrection in Pennsylvania.

Will you personally be going door to door to confiscate guns?

Hopefully

Washington's opinions of when the majority prevailed in France are a little more telling of his views on democracy and mob rule.
