My uncle is a general manager for a mining company in South America and he has been buying gold for a long time... and he's laughing all the way to the bank.

I think G.Gordon Liddy is much much better salesman of gold than Glenn is. It's something about that bald head that says, "yeah, this guy knows gold".

It also sends a message to the politicians when people go on a buying spree. That many Americans want the right, and these same Americans will be voting in 2014.

Even the anti gun biased media reports on mass buying sprees, which shows the truth.

One main worry of mine is that I shoot relic mil-surp rifles also, and the only way to get ammo for them is imported ammo from Czech republic by Prvi Partisan .If Obama bans importation of ammo my antigue rifles will be unable to be used. Of course relic antiques are not on their hit list per-say but that is one negative side effect that some people don't consider. Given that, does it seem extreme that I would stock up on it? NO

The same backwoods people voted in 2012, and they didn't get their way than either (The NRA spent 99% of its money on losing candidates-so impressive, hard to mess up that much, unless Rove is your last name).

The same elections not going as these folks wish will be true in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020. They exist in a 19th century mindset, yelling hopelessly , at a world that has passed them by. There will be no more of them relative to the voting population in 2,4,6,8, or 40 years. Their time has past.

The last gun restriction in 1994 cost Dems severely. Try it again and see what happens.

You under estimate how many gun owners are Democrats or not loyal to one party.

Maybe his disembodied spirit now is speaking through Glenn, then. Interesting, very interesting....

LOL! What cost them was the prior 2 years where Hillarycare, which was single payer, far left of Obamacare was pushed, plus unlike 2012, a Republican with brain cells was leading the campaign charge. As always, 94 was a WALLET election.

4 million is the peak NRA membership. That is not enough to sway many House seats, and even fewer Senate races. 4 million is PITHY. 1/3rd the Latino 2012 vote total. 1/30th the US vote total. Might as well expect the Green party to tilt elections.

4 million NRA members-that is the Barney Fife of organizations. A needle in a haystack trying to sway things. Bloomberg via hia PAC beat them up in 2012, just using seed money. In 2014, he expects to fund it far more heavily.
