Here in Texas, the largest charter school system (which is a public school) is run by Muslims. And when I say run it, I mean run pretty much every facet of the system.

Would it be okay for them to be armed also? Or do you think people would think twice?

Do you have some proof that their teachers aren't armed? Most of them seem to be.

Works for me. I don't see the reason to stereotype because some extremists use their religion to commit violence.

Why would it matter? The Muslims set out to slaughter innocent people they don't get concealed carry permits first.

I am against arming teachers regardless of their religious background. I am all for adding armed security at our schools. I am also for making it easier for people to seek mental help in our country and to be able to receive the proper care that they need.

It is always interesting watching the people who don't seem to trust teachers to teach, or maintain proper discipline in class, would be the ones to trust them with guns and their proper use.

Default For those who think we should arm teachers

I'm a HS teacher.

I'm also a former Marine and a gun owner with extensive training and experience with handguns.

I'd be very uncomfortable with carrying a weapon at school, personally. And I'd feel even less comfortable with lesser-trained colleagues being armed.

What I think would be the best solution would be to have one or two of the security personnel get first rate training, pass qualifications and be armed.
