FYI illegal immigrants actually pay most kinds of taxes.

No, they aren't. The 14th Amendment has never been clarified by the Supreme Court and it needs to be. How do you explain the clause " AND subject to the jurisiction, thereof"? If everyone born on our soil were automatic citizens by birth there would have been no need to put that qualifer in the clause. You have to be born here PLUS subject to our jurisdiction. Why in the world would the writers of the 14th Amendment include births from illegal immigrant parents who are not subject to our jurisdiction and their offspring likewise? They are only accountable/subject to our laws just like a legal immigrant or citizen would be while living here.

Why do you feel the need to single out one group of US citizens?

You obviously have a problem with latino citizens otherwise you wouldn't feel the need to single them out. No matter who your parents are, if you are born in the US, you are a full US citizen. There are not different classes of citizenship.

No, not most. They pay sales tax but most are low wage earners whom many actually get more back in income taxes than they pay into the income tax fund through Child Tax Credits if they have kids and there is alot of fraud involved with that also. Some get paid under the table also and don't pay income taxes. They don't pay anywhere's near in taxes what they take out of our tax coffers. Their social costs are breaking us.

Except you are complaining about Hispanic US citizens, not illegal immigrants.

Because this group of "citizens" are children of illegals who come here and cannot afford to pay for services themselves.

That might be your opinion, but no court has ever agreed with your view of birthright citizenship. The US Constitution as it is currently interpreted grants automatic citizenship to people born in the US.

You might wish that it didn't but your wishes don't match up with the current law.

Don't worry, soon enough their parents will be citizens as well and eligible for all these services for themselves.

When I visited the UK this summer we paid taxes. I wouldn't think of staying there illegally.
