For sure. The Republicans will take the fall no matter what gets passed because we're at the point you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Yep, a majority of the voters are "dumb". All us dumb people, united against you smarties in the minority. The intelligence just radiates from such acute political analysis.

Yes thanks for the update. This has become ridiculous and it pretty much looks like there will be no agreement. Oh well not surprised. Everything is Obama's fault, its his watch and he's the leader.

I think if there was another election right now, Obama would get maybe 20% of the vote, what a mess.

Please educate yourself. This was a bill created by republicans, and destroyed by republicans. Obama had nothing to do with it at all and yet it's his fault? You didn't even know congress has recessed and there was no vote today. Please get a clue before you spout ridiculously unsubstantiated crap on the internet. You look like a total fool when you do that and lose all credibility. Even anti-Obama republicans are embarrassed by you.

False. Obama went from tax increase on those over $250k to tax increase on those over $400k, and that IS cooperating, that IS compromising. Obama also agreed to the Republican idea to change what the entitlement annual increase is based on to a "chained CPI" that will equate to reduced cost of living increases, ie. requiring the government to spend LESS than projected on it. That IS cooperating, that IS compromising. So here Obama is compromising with clear examples like that, and meanwhile Boehner can't even get his Tea Party caucus to compromise enough to increase taxes on MILLIONAIRES. Obama is cooperating, and Boehner is trying to as well, but he's got a bunch of fools in the right wing of his party who'd rather see America burn economically than to compromise for the sake of the American economy progressing.

AND THESE ARE ON FRIGGIN BUSH TAX RATES THAT WERE SUPPPOSED TO SUNSET/END based on the timeline put on them when they were enacted. These rates were never supposed to be permanent. So it's giving up little to compromise and agree to let those rates that were SUPPOSED to have already expired- expire now on the wealthy. But these right wing idiots don't even want to give that little bit in the spirit of cooperation for the sake of America's economy and the jobs therein while the president is here trying to meet them in the middle.

well what we do know is that the consequence's will be the leaders fault because they have to do with agreeing with an approach.....so

You blamed Bush for a 10 year war and yet you come here saying it's not Obama's fault ?

ROFL. Obama divided Congress as well as he divided US citizens.

Obama and "bipartisan" should never be used in the same sentence.

Sounds like Cantor and the tea party are steering the GOP from behind again, doesn't it?

Please pick yourself up off of the floor now and stop chuckling. Americans voted for Obama on the premise of raising taxes for the top, evidently, you missed out on that? yes?

It depends on your 401K rules. Many of them do not allow going back and forth, and restrict trading to once every 4 months.
