There are several problems and/or objections to school personel being armed with guns.
What do you think about them having tasers?

Well Tasers are ineffective in a firefight (especially in distances) if a crazed lunatic walked in the school like in Connecticut. Have you considered that.

Haven't actually considered all the pros and cons so asked for opinions.
I have considered the cons of them being armed with guns so brought this up as an alternate...or even in conjunction with......even as a 'something is better than nothing' for instances where they would be suitable since I don't think there is any 100% answer.

Better then nothing, but probably useless. Single shot, slow reloading, and dubious in usage in stopping someone with a gun. There is a reason police don't pull them out when a suspect is armed.

It's something I've suggested. Or similar non-lethal weapon. True, not as easy/effective as a gun but better than nothing, less controversial and may even serve as a deterrent to someone looking for no roadblocks....

A taser would require a teacher who is already scared out of their mind to actually confront a shooter instead of running for cover and saving the kids. You only get one shot and if you miss you are gonna be shot. Next someone is giong to suggest tear gas or concussion grenades.
