Does the concept of liberty ring true with anyone any more?I mean the greatest thing that makes Americans fortunate compared to others around the world is the ability to make their own way in life and to reap the rewards from it.Individualism is the backbone of this country. There are no guarentees of success but the oportunity for success is available to anyone.Socialism diminishes the will to succeed,it represents mediocre mentality.
I guess the concept of individualism and liberty doesn't mean squat to some people anymore, they just would rather live in a illusion that they get something free from the government and haven't lost any rights in the process.
How are you free when government is either taking away what you worked for,and if you deny them they'll put you in jail,or how are you free when you recieve finances from the government yet they dictate how you must live your life in order to qualify for the money?
Americans should help each other out, help the poor but by free will, and direct donations because then the people have power in their hands and power over their money.
Regarding medicare,I know someone right now who needs their wisdom teeth taken out and are using medicare for it....they are scheduled 2
months from now as the first available opening to get the procedure done. She is in pain,on drugs for it....
Government taking money and redistributing it is hardly ever responsible with it.Yes I say get rid of Medicare,Social Security and most other failed programs.Or at least keep these programs such as welfare at a state level not a one size fits all federal level. At a state level you will have more power at overseeing and promoting welfare programs, and if one state has a success rate others can then copy it,but if there is one plan and its bad, everybody suffers.
