And from your own link..take it with a grain of salt. Nordstrom's may be a major retailer but not to the masses..they frequent Target and Wallymart.

"I wouldn't be doing cartwheels that it was a particularly great or strong holiday season, but it could have been worse given the headwinds," said Ken Perkins, president of RetailMetrics, a research firm.

Obviously, you didn't get it.

Or lay back and just take it like a champ?? that's what I'm going to take "use it to our benefit" as meaning.

Well, except for the champ part, that is YOUR premise. You've already accepted that (champs don't sit and whine, and assume nothing can be done about it).

You're absolutely right...but "to our benefit" is very broad...

I'm interested in what facets of life you would consider global governance desirable.

Never, and certainly don't live scared, paranoid like y'all.

Subjective, but not void of meaning.

Not yet. But I see no reason to be as paranoid, living scared, about EVERYTHING as y'all.

Use a fact instead of making things up.

Really? More are unemployed than ever. That is not positive job growth. That is a FACT. Housing prices are artificially rising which hurts everyone except your beloved 1 percent. That is a FACT.
The banking industry propped up by bailouts off of the back of the working stiff, allows the losers to keep participating and lowers the competitive edge for those who made the right decisions. That is a FACT.

The only clowns are those who think their snake oil has value.
More unemployed than ever eh?
Who's selling snake oil here?
It sure ain't me.

"More than 12.5 million Americans were unemployed as 2012 reached its midpoint.

That may seem to be a horribly large number, yet it actually represents considerable improvement. The unemployment rolls contained more than 14 million names just a year ago.
All but three states have fewer unemployed citizens today than in mid-2011, with California and Oklahoma making the most progress.

California posted the sharpest reduction in raw terms, cutting its number of unemployed workers by 212,700 in 12 months. Oklahoma's drop of 20.8 percent is the best in percentage terms.

The decline in unemployment is the result of a broad upswing in job creation since the middle of 2011. On Numbers noted yesterday that 44 states and the District of Columbia added jobs during the one-year span..."

I could go on and on about where else you are wrong - but I already have (and I have other things to do).
