Not unless the child is conceived, birthed, and adopted out for money.
I don't understand your response. Are you saying that birth-parents of children who are adopted retain their obligations and should pay child support if the adoptive-parents divorce?
Not unless the child is conceived, birthed, and adopted out for money.
What are you even talking about? ADOPTION doesn't care how the child was conceived. ADOPTION is ADOPTION with everything that legally goes along with that. There is no need to go looking any farther.
This is an encouraging story. Sperm donors should absolutely be made to pay child support. Why is that even controversial? Maybe that will put an end to this madness.
No they shouldn't. Sperm Donors are mostly anonymous and sign away their rights at donation.
No matter how many uterus' a woman has they absolutely can not reproduce without a sperm donor.
Amen
Um, women don't need sperm donors. They can have children the natural way.
They can go to a bar at Last Call and take home a drunk dude and get pregnant that way. Gay men may need help, but lesbian women do not. Many lesbians I know with kids had their children with a man (some of whom were married prior to the "discovery") and had no need for a "donor".
The law should have two goals: 1) Discouraging irresponsible parenthood; and 2) Protecting the interests of children already conceived.
In the case of adoption, legally continuing the natural obligations of birth parents would discourage adoption when adoption is in the best interests of a child already conceived. And it is unlikely to discourage irresponsible parenthood.
then quit asking the gov't to get involved, Now we have to turn out system upside down for people that want to be treated special. You can't get pregnant without a man, and apparently a contract isn't good enough when it comes to making the state, and the people of that state, support your children. Two men can't have babies, so you need to get states permission to inseminate a female, that then gives up her rights to her own child. This is so messed up.
When did I ask the government to get involved?
I am a Libertarian, I believe that there should not be state-sponsored discrimination and people should be free to follow their own choices as long as they do not hurt another.
Gays should be allowed to be married under the law and have just as much of a right to be a parent as any straight couple.
I think Child Support laws are insane and idiotic and they cause far more harm than good, especially with rich men who impregnate gold-diggers, and I know quite a few guys who have been subjected to this horrific travesty of "justice" because some woman wanted to be set financially for life.

Yet you think that the "birth father" should be held to those obligations in this adoption.
The fact that the gay crusaders are using the "should have let them marry" issue as ammo... is hypocritical at the very least... because you are advocating the government to leverage somebody with coercion simply because the general public fought against your ideals. Sure it's all about the kids, if that was the case then you should....
Spoiler
Hold the adults accountable for not doing their homework before adopting/artificially inseminating
What about the psychological relation of child to parent? Does that not count for anything.
These are the unforeseen consequences of gays being allowed to adopt.
