I thought this article appearing at American Thinker this morning was compelling:
Articles: The Socialist Mind Game: A Brief Manual

The author once lived in the former Soviet Union. He understands the mind games and the redefinition of terms that the left uses to confuse an argument and obscure their real objectives. Every freedom loving American should read it and learn. Our country is being taken away from us. This is one reason they are going after guns.

The left does not believe in the individual. They believe in the collective. That is what Obama and Elizabeth Warren were talking about with their "You didn't build that!" twaddle. The underlying premise is that what you earn does not belong entirely to you, because your success depended upon many others (the collective). Therefore, you owe something back.

But individualism is what built America. Entrepreneurs, with dreams and a drive to be the best they could be. The didn't depend on government. Nothing is impossible for a people left free to innovate. The minds of free men will always accomplish more than those under oppression.

Obama and friends are living in a fantasy world. Listen carefully to their words. They always speak in terms of the collective, never the individual.

The new "dream" is to come across the border and get a free cell phone, housing, food etc. all paid for by raising everybody's taxes. Yippee!!!

I see you focus only on birth control. Do you deny that the religious right would do everything in their power to overturn Roe v. Wade - IF they ran the country? Do you deny that the religous right would demand my child say a prayer of THEIR choosing? Do you deny that the NRA and their ilk would turn our schools into free-for-all gun zones ~ arming the teacher, janitors, and principals?

YOU are exactly demonstrating my point.

But hey, don't let facts get in your way, just parrot what a loon like Rand Paul says. I guess Rand would rather see taxes go up on the middle class so those middle class kids can starve while those wealthy kids can scratch out a life.
Oh paaaaaleeeeseee! You omitted the fact that the right want's to make children get jobs when they're 10 years old! How could you forget about that!?

Newt Gingrich, Mr. Tiffany himself said
Quote:
"You say to somebody, you shouldn't go to work before you're what, 14, 16 years of age, fine. You're totally poor. You're in a school that is failing with a teacher that is failing. I've tried for years to have a very simple model," he said. "Most of these schools ought to get rid of the unionized janitors, have one master janitor and pay local students to take care of the school. The kids would actually do work, they would have cash, they would have pride in the schools, they'd begin the process of rising."

This free phone?

As it happens the "Obama phone" actually was signed into law by President George W. Bush in 2008. The program is called "SafeLink Wireless." An article from August 2008 confirms this.

How could it be an "Obama phone" when, at that time, the president had barely won the nomination two months prior?

Once again the GOP has reacted without having the facts, and once again they are holding an empty sack.
Hollowman argument.

I can hear the sucking sound of RWNJ's now, eating up all those RW talking points.

The difference between republicans and democrats is that when a republican doesn't like something, they don't partake. When a democrat doesn't like something, they try to pass laws so no one can partake. When a republican wants something, they pay for it. When a democrat wants something, they try to make everyone else pay for it.
Is this opposite day?

When Republicans don't like something (gay marriage, abortion rights, religious freedom), they try to ban it. When they do like something (far right psuedo-Christianity), they try to force it on everyone else. When Republicans want something, they put it on the credit card and then feign shock, outrage, and surprise at how big the balance has grown. Then they accuse someone else of spending all the money.

The Republican anti-fiscal responsibility, anti-freedom agenda is why I will never vote for them. And no amount of telling me that up is down is going to convince me to abandon objective reality in favor of Republican nonsense.

And the Telecommunications Industry, Insurance Industry and Big Wall Street Banks, that lobbied for a lot of this, thank you for it as well, as they steal from all of us, so that they do not have to compete in an open market like everyone else.

Tell me kuchief, Are you more angry at the ones getting the "freebies" and I use that lightly, because nothing is free.
Or, are you more angry at the ones stealing my tax dollars to give to others so that they can continue to reward themselves million dollar bonuses at tax payer expense?

Is Joe Six Pack lobbying for all of this, or is it the Big Corporate and Banking Sector that wish to crush out all their competition so they get even bigger?

Is that Free Market Capitalism at work when you can lobby your cronies in the government to make you bigger and more powerful?

All corporations are inherently good. Or did you not get the memo?

Silly me.
I find it hard to understand how some can scream about socialism and communism and not realize their corporate and banking hero's are the ones responsible for it.

It sure is not Joe Six Pack that is pulling the strings in Washington.
