I just caught part of the evening news and evidently people that knew Charles Carl Roberts IV say he never showed any outward signs that he was capable of doing this type of tragic thing. My grandparents, parents and 2 brothers are gone but how can one deal with the loss of a child. If it was one of my children I think I would do something very bad to this man. I would figure a way how to do it and it would be done. I believe the proverb that God takes care of the children. Let's hope it's true!

This is certainly one of those events that can shake a person's faith. It's almost too heartbreaking to bear. We all want to know "Why?", "How?" and I don't think we'll ever understand why or how while we're here on earth.
You're right, exhdol. My brother lost a daughter and we were afraid we might lose him. It's the worse kind of loss. My prayers are with the families. There are just no words.......

Most likely yes. You know they don't like their picture taken. We where in Lancaster co. in 2001 drove all over Amish country only saw one the last day there he was driving his buggy as we passed by he would not even look our way. They understand the wickedness of the world and will continue on just as before. Our prayers go our for them.

[quote=Adream;112614]It sure doesn't. All that adds up to someone who was mentally ill. There is no other explanation for what he did.

I saw on our local Philadelphia news that there is a fund set up for people to donate money to help the families with funeral expenses for the girls. Adream, thanks for the information. That is one thing we can do for these families along with our prayers.

Sad day indeed. I believe that there is a special section of hell waiting to greet that POS. I'm just glad that my kids' teachers are armed at all times.

Armed teachers. I'm sure glad Sister Mary Mathew didn't have a pair of brass knuckles! Seriously why are the teachers armed? Just curious.
