I didn't type anything in error, any Illinois state law is applicable in Chicago therefore I was 100% correct in what I typed. The state of Illinois AND the by default the city of Chicago had their concealed handgun ban ruled unconstitutional.

Let's drop the ignorance and get back to talking about real solutions to problems.

Technically Chicago had no say over that law, it was a state law. There is a huge difference between city laws and state laws. It is no big deal, mistakes happen.

Again, more ignorance and sidestepping of the actual conversation. The people in Chicago live under the laws of the state of Illinois and they play a large role in electing the state officials who make state laws due to the population numbers of the city so they do have a say so in that law.

Now can we get back to the conversation?

Sorry, calling a state law a city law is ignorant.

Using your logic, Obamacare is a Texan law.

Actually the conversation you want to get back to is this crazy notion that a hand full of gun nuts are somehow gonna start a civil war because the government might take their guns away. Your off topic posts are much more sane.

Let's try this one more time since you seem to have gotten caught up in semantics in an effort to avoid the real conversation.

Now back on topic, can you explain why Chicago (A CITY in ILLINOIS and a CITY governed by STATE gun control laws) has one of the highest rates of gun homicides in the country when it (CITY AND STATE) has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country?

You the only person making crazy statements like that, not me. You continue to make asinine comments about gun nuts wanting and/or starting a civil war when nobody in here has called for anything like that.

Great point. It's even crazier when you consider that many of these wannabe revolutionaries are fierce "law and order" types.

Did you not read the title of this thread? I have simply been pointing out how crazy that sounds....I would much rather talk about gun violence in Chicago.

Whats wrong with the idea of a Civil War starting because people are tired of government violating Constitutionally protected rights?
