If you think people are going to wash dishes and flush floors for 10 cents an hour you going to have some dirty floors and dishes..

how does that work out though, I mean why would washing dishes give you double for sweeping the floor?

harder to do perhaps....

come now, surely a diner must have a dishwasher person otherwise the waitresses must do it.

they must have more value than a dime or so.

in fact I would say that a diswasher has as much value as any other low paid worker

how about that?

I say that most jobs have no 'value'.

this is because the employer will pay the lowest he can get away with.

We see it out in the developing world, where an employer will sometimes pay literally nothing, other than perhaps basic food, even if his profits are good.

so surely it is prudent to at least try and prevent this kind of exploitation in our own countries, no?

Wages will continue to go down until a person can buy an American made car for the same price as a Chinese made car of comparable models. It is inevitable.

It will have to be of comparable standard and competitively priced. The American worker doesn't have to make the same as the Chinese worker because of shipping costs on a Chinese made car, but wages will have to go down a lot from where they are now.

But if the world or this country slips into a depression, you'd be amazed at how many people would be lining up for 10 cents a hour.

If you've ever heard the cliche that some money is better than no money.
I could give a example of my own experiences as a owner/operator transporting expedited cargo if need be.

10 cents an hour is a rather pointless wage as here in America you cant live even the most draconian life on that kind of money.Turning to crime would be easier and more lucrative,
