I can't find any "reliable" sources, but there are plenty of links reporting that last Friday Serrano proposed HJ Resolution 15 to the Consitution which would remove the limitation as to how long a President can serve.
it wont happen as long as republicans control one house of congress, or have enough votes to filibuster such a bill, and as long as republicans control enough states to prevent a constitutional amendment like that from going through the states.
It has to get out of committee, then the speaker or majority leader has to bring it to the floor for a vote. Then it has to pass the opposite house of congress. Then it has to to the WH for a sign-off.

So this was poo pawed when suggested as a possible attemt as a tin foil hat. Now that it is being discussed I wonder if anyone will back off their tin foil hat remarks. It was just suggested that some dem would try.. Not that it would pass.

This has been done quite a few times in the past, and in fact Serano has introduce this legislation at the start of every Congress since 1997, and yes that also includes when Bush was in office.....
I'd be in favor of it. Installing the limit in the first place was an over reaction to begin with, it wasn't like we were having a big problem with President's serving several terms. In fact only one did out of 32 Presidents. Or 32 administrations.
It shouldn't apply to the sitting President though. Maybe not even to the next President if we're close to an election
Serrano has been introducing this proposed legislation again and again since 1997, NO MATTER WHO THE PRESIDENT IS for a total of 9 times. What makes you think that it will pass this time?
Because we have a black president in office?
Because there is a communist-liberal conspiracy to rig national elections? I thought it was the Republicans who have been passing voter suppression laws and stuff.
