Only by violating our rights.

You would be mistaken. Nobody has the right to infringe on the rights of others, especially not government.

Victim status does not give anyone the right to deprive others of their constitutionally protected inherent individual rights.
1st amendment is regulated believe it or not, and victims of slander benefit from this regulation.

Regulaton does not equal deprivation.

Yes. That's how America works. No one dismisses the First Amendment more than those who cling to the Second.
She can have whatever opinion she wants, but she is wrong to think that she has some "special" victim status and that gives her more say. If anything, she is an anti-American hypocrite for advocating infringing on the rights of others. But then again, she was an anti-American hypocrite before she was shot, so I suppose that has not changed.

The real victim in the Gafford's shooting was Sarah Palin. The media blamed her within one hour of the shooting..........even before we knew who the shooter was.

Dear Glitch,
No, I am not mistaken. What rights is this infringing on exactly?

I've been watching her Facebook page most of the day, have they actually said what any of these responsible ideas or plans are? I haven't seen anything but empty BS followed by hundreds of Obama voters jumping on board to support it.

The USSR also had historically low crime rates. That does not mean I would want to live in a dictatorship, any more than I would want to live under the fascist Bloomberg.

For one thing, he is not advocating that our liberties be taken away. Anyone who advocates such a position has no credibility, and most certainly is not valid.

Stay classy.
Not mocking her injuries, but rather her political party, I'm thinking. Liberals don't think - they only feeeel.

Funny you should mention James Brady. Another man, who while suffering a tragedy, let his personal fears control his critical thinking.

Why haven't either Brady or Giffords come out to fight mental illness? That's the real reason both of them were shot.
