The Mayor made a business decision to release a man that wasn't performing the task he was hired to do. Who cares who was hired to replace him, it doesn't matter. In the business world all that matters is getting the job done - the military acts in the same exact way.

Again - why are you bringing up things that don't matter? A business decision was made and you're upset because you don't agree with it. The fact that mayor just so happens to be a Democrat is a moot point and doesn't matter in the slightest.
At the end of the day, the business needs to run effectively and the mayor made the decision that best suited the business. You really need to get over your self-obsessive hatred for Democrats and the left.
