The only morons are the ones that think a police state is where people are not allowed to legally own that which the Constitution allows.
Definition of a police state: police state is a state in which the government exercises rigid and repressive controls over the social, economic, and political life of the population. A police state typically exhibits elements of totalitarianism and social control, and there is usually little or no distinction between the law and the exercise of political power by the executive.

All the Democratic politicians are coming up with gun laws and the irony is that neither of the laws that Dianne Feinstein of California or Mario Cuomo of New York want would have covered the guns used in the Newton shooting.
With all the guns and bullets already in circulation in America, no law is going to be effective.
People who support Democrats aren't smart enough to know that, however, and will think these new laws are great.
What we could and should do is curb the massively glorified violence in movies, video games and TV and make it easier to institutionalize adults with mental illness.
Don't hold your breath waiting for a Democrat to stand up to Hollywood or the civil liberties groups though.

living in a police state? that is what dems want, as they only want the government to have the firearms. we want everyone that can own one to have one if they so choose. that is alot different than what the dems want for the police state society.
Both parties are filled with people that appear to have nonfunctional brains.
Believe me, most of them have one and use it.......just not to the advanatge of the average John Q Public.
