People have to make up for paying higher taxes somewhere. Which also means don't expect a raise from your 2% boss either.
Wait, ... Did you and all the other GOP's just assume all waiters and waitresses voted for Obama ?

also, why do you people keep mentioning Taxes as if they actually went up ? the only tax that went up was from the payroll holiday which Obama himself enacted, that republicans said they would not have as part of this fiscal cliff deal(the exact time it expired).

The argument the cons are putting forth on this thread makes no sense.

Exempt from minimum wage requiremets.

While the restaurant industry is exempt from minimum wages in the United States (at least for jobs where tipping is prevalent), other countries have binding minimum wage laws for all industries. One common complaint from restaurant owners then is that minimum wages unduly increase their costs and that they have to increase prices accordingly. Well do they?

There are over 2 million hits for this topic if yod don't like this one.

The impact is much larger. Capital gains taxes went up by as much as 5%. That's going to have a larger impact than payroll taxes.

Sure they are. The only difference is tip credit towards the $7.25.

What a loser. If you can't "afford" a proper tip go to McDonalds.

I am on my phone, please forgive the typos.

More pouting from little girls masquerading as grown men. Would all of you do me a favor? If you ever witness someone behaving like this, would you please humiliate them in a public venue? You have no idea the power of public shaming and ostracism.

Anytime you pay a higher percentage of taxes means taxes went up. The economy is too fragile to reduce workers' incomes. Also Bush wanted to make the Bush tax cuts permanent but democrats would not pass it unless they were temporary.

Regardless of who waiters and waitresses voted for we all are paying the consequences of Obama being re-elected. So why shouldn't they. The money the government is taking has to made up elsewhere. At least people have the common sense to cut back on spending "unlike Obama and the democrats"

You're talking about amazingly self-centered children who have no concern for other human beings. You're talking about the absolute dregs of society.
