Or pheasant hunting, anyway.

You always could, but there wasn't usually enough left of the animal to even make a feather pillow afterwords.

I don't usually consider it useful to hunt an animal when the only thing you can bring back is a picture of a blood splatter.

Or a Wood Duck, like the one in the photo.

Most States require 3-shot plugs in your shotgun for hunting water fowl or game birds.

An AR or AK is usually out.

Not to mention sending RIFLE rounds sailing through the air that can carry for 5 miles or more at WELL over 3,000 FPS.

Here's one pest that you can use whatever you want in most States.

Don't even have a season or daily bag limit in many or my State.

Waste as many as you can.

DNR and farmers will thank you for it.

Well, if you desire to hunt for food or something useful it's pretty normal.

If you desire to hunt in order to turn animals into chunky salsa, it usually one of the three signs of sociopathy.

I knew some one who used to hunt prairie dogs with a 20 gauge. It only left a 10 foot long red mark on the ground. He now spends his time raving on street corners in Philadelphia.

I don't hunt ducks and certainly would not consider my tactical rifles suitable for bird hunting if I did. One of my latter rifles is a great varmint shooter, however. Capable of clean shots on coyotes at 400 yards +. My primary use for my tactical style stuff is in competitions, which, if the hoplophobes have their way, would not exist anymore.
To this, they say too bad. I need to take up knitting and tough, if I don't like it. Yea, that mentallity will save a lot of lives. I say, if tbey don't like my owning firearms, of certain types, for whatever reason I choose, tough. Don't hang out with me. End of problem.

If you need an assault rifle to hunt ducks, then maybe you shouldn't be hunting ducks cause clearly they can out smart you with just a regular gun and I am sure you got tired of that stupid dog always laughing at you.
