Prostitution seems to be about as natural as it gets, yet we have many laws that interfere with this.

Messing with nature usually causes problems in the long run, so is there any sense in maintaining the charade of monogamy in the 21st century?

I think prostitution should be perfectly legal in all states, and any guy who has the means who is not getting laid as much as he wants should feel free to hire a prostitute with no shame whatsoever.

Women want money and men want sex. As long as you pay the woman fairly and don't try to be a cheap ass, there's nothing wrong with it at all. Both parties know exactly what they are getting from the arrangement.

Frankly, i think women should be supportive of men going to see prostitutes. Women are always complaining that men care about sex too much. If men were curbing some of their desire by seeing a prostitute, they wouldn't be coming onto women as much.

IMO, prostitution is a blight and a cruel scourge, on the soul of humanity...

I think that pro-creation is a natural human event; prostitution is not...just because it happens and has happened historically, doesn't make it "right". Centuries ago, many people may have said that slavery was "natural", but that didn't make it any less of an evil and despicable act...

How is prostitution evil? The woman is getting paid for it... it's not like the man is forcing her to do something against her will. She's choosing to do it. Comparing prostitution to slavery is ridiculous.

Each and every prostitute, was someone's daughter...someone's sister, part of someone's family. Prostitution does women a cruel and brutal disservice, as it is the antithesis of true, real romantic love. Women deserve nothing less than to be genuinely loved, not to be used and treated as disposable objects to service and satisfy a man's baser desires, at his whim...

deserve to be loved? so do men.

if a man wants to sell his body in the ufc, or lay brick, or sleep in the mud in some foreign land killing and being shot at then a woman can do what she wants with her body.

a woman can who is a hooker can either sell her only asset, her body, for 200 bucks plus an hour or she can work fast food or sweep floors for 7 bucks an hour.

its her choice. who are you to tell her how she can earn her living?

Somehow, I think your thoughts cited above on this might be very different, if you hypothetically had a daughter, who wanted to do this...

Can you honestly say that you would *not* try to dissuade your own daughter, from turning to this sort of lifestyle? Yes, the pay can be good...but like all things, there is also a cost (a tremendous emotional cost, in this case)...

Prostitution is sad.

No little girl, or boy, for that matter, dreams longingly to be a sex worker... most of the time it's done out of desperation, especially in 3rd world countries.
