So I take it you want this supposed event to be in the distant future.

It is fitting that someone named sucks mentions masturbation.

I'm not even a democrat, but you have to look at the facts. The infrastructure and economy in the blue states is far superior, generally speaking. If the red states decide to go on their own, they'd need to break up to survive.
Just remember who grows most of your food; and what segment of the economy finds a way to provide most of the personal-service work the Left-leaning elite usually takes for granted.

Do I want? What does it matter if i did? And No I don't want that, I have a son and he has a son. I want these heavy spenders out of the National Wallet. That doesn't have a lot to do with SS however..

That is something the people put money into they will never get back.. That money was taken from my checks for 47 years and counting so far.

I wish it hadn't been and in that case i would expect nothing. I do not do charity or welfare... SS isn't that.

Now back to the way things are..... If you grow a corn garden and eat all the corn when it's gone it's gone...

When there is no more if no one else has any you can afford your out of luck.... That is going to happen in this nation sooner than later.

There is more going out than there is coming in... In 2006 this country came real close to going over another edge... There was almost no grain in the food belt USA... I know this was a fact at the time..

The US almost had to depend on the rest of the world that winter....

Sounds like socialism to me.

Anyway, perhaps I didn't explain it well enough. I agree with the poster earlier who said if "civil war" was to break out in this country again, then it would likely not be along the old lines of South vs. North. Nor would it be each state independently seceding. No, it would much more likely be the result of a total collapse of the US economy, or some truly over move on the part of the feds against the constitution.

In any event, if that ever happens? Then it would only be natural that certain states formed alliances with one another. And the Red vs. Blue would be the most likely. And in which case, the blue states would lose
if they made the extremely foolish mistake of doing what the North did in 1861. I hope that clarifies a bit.
You must of not been paying attention after the election when this forum light up with secession threads.

Anyway, if you look at the actual political map of the country you will realize it is more purple than it is red or blue, much harder to draw battle lines that way though.

True... the rest of the world won't sell us food....

Good thing we still have Smith & Wesson and Colt to hunt.

Oh, and agriculture is the garden state's third largest industry.

Realistically, there would have to be trade between the two entities. The red states WILL need medicine and technology.

I pay plenty of attention, not just the forum but to obvious trends within the country, and the writing on the wall.

The point is though, that the true backbone of the country, in terms of just who does and provides what, is not in a simple electorate. As in red and blue shading into one another to make purple. No, it is about the producers and the parasites. When it really comes right down to it, the parasites are powerless, even if they have the right to vote for whoever promises more of someone elses money.

The old saying, if the worm ever turns? Then a significant percentage of the population is in deep shlit, as per those who depend on others to support them.

So I stick by my original thesis. In the Red states, the natural laws of nature and economics would manifest. In the Blue states, it would totally implode. And of course, the government dependent parasites from the Red States would flee in panic to the Blue States...which would have no oil, gas, food, or much else save the welfare state that brought on their own downfall...

Good luck!
