It's our own damn fault for allowing it, and allowing the insurance companies to get too big for their britches! Businesses complain about government overreach, and over regulation, yada yada, but then turn around and do it to their employees! Anyway, having said that, it should not be up to the employer to provide insurance to it's employees? Insurance while it should be affordable, should be the responsibility of the individual.
And it was at one time in America until the government got involved.
I was a college student and had insurance with Blue Cross/Blue Shield and was affordable.

The minute you subsidize something you let the cat out of the bag for price inflation because people then don't care how much something costs if they don't have to pay the full price.

Government seems to be good at that.

The purpose of an ER is to stabilize patients. Limiting scripts writen in city/county ERs to a three day supply seems to be in keeping with the purpose of an ER.

On the otherhand, nothing prevents a drug seeker from returning in three days just as there is nothing to prevent someone from ordering another super-sized soda.
Maybe MB is thinking if they have to come back so soon with more damage self inflicted it may kill them off. LOL

There will probably be a surge in the black market for these pills now.
Not like they can't be gotten elsewhere and then sold in NYC.

Drug dealers must be very happy with Bloomberg.

What prevents a person living in NYC from getting their pills in NJ ?
The cost of driving there. It's like your first born son to go over the bridges.

Don't have to drive. Take the PATH train.
Or the bus up to Weschester.
