I listed on another forum the three arguments in order, Obama supporters use when people bring up issues concerning his legitimacy.
1. Ad-hominem attacks.

birthers do this all the time, by calling anyone who "defend" Obama against birther claims. They call them Obots or sheep, or other stupid names. though it happens more with birthers.
and birthers isn't an ad-hominem. That is the NAME that BIRTHERS CHOSE to be called.

Just once I'd like to see a liberal/progressive/socialist/Democrat address an issue with thoughtful commentary.
It would be really nice if someone sent the kids out to the playground rather than allowing them to thwart any possibility of productive or meaningful information sharing, discussion or debate.
I am stumped to understand why any adult would want to call others "slugs" and "nutjobs" and make gratuitous insults, other than that they have nothing to contribute in the way of mindful commentary. Or perhaps its fear that information they don't like might actually be given a fair hearing.
There would be no issue to argue about here, if Barack Obama provided the same kind of disclosure that we have always expected from a sitting President. That is the real issue at hand. Why would anyone want to shield him from disclosing information that most employers would require of a prospective new hire? And why would anyone want to call me or anyone else disparaging, dismissive, ugly names for holding such common and reasonable expectations?
Why would Obama want to allow this controversy to bloom by failing to disclose his school records, including his financial aid applications?

because this transcends both obama and birtherism itself. we have entered the age of web generated and perpetuated conspiracy theories. we are now witnessing it again with sandy hook.
i've been following birtherism from the beginning and constantly see BS repeated as fact and believed by a disturbingly large percentage of the population.
i'm not sure what the answer is but, for now, i will do my part to separate the facts from the BS on this particular topic.
At this point and the media, who gives a damn really. He could be a alien, and his supporters would still support him.
At this point, i really don't care, just do the damn job you promised us you would, and get this economy really booming and thriving once again.

The media, pretty broad brush being used there. Are we implicating Fox News as being complicit in not giving a D too? What about other forms of media such as Breitbart, Drudge, Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, Beck and others? Are those now Obama supporters?
Why do people who buy into this right wing ideology and rhetoric always use profanity to place emphasis on their point of view. Can't you talk or type without swearing or cussing?
