Colbert is an entertainer...he's satirizing the RW, and they're not bright enough to grasp that. Unlike so many here, both Colbert and Morgan know that our Constitution was largely based on the Magna Carta,
signed by King John back in the 1200s. People should watch the History Channel or (GASP!) pick up a book.
I just picked up my old government book that I taught from to find the real year, 1215, when the Magna Carta was written.
As to those comedians, only one of them is a comedian, but that video was so obviously staged with Morgan taking part in it. The best part of all this thread is that few have seen that video and all have to talk about Colbert being a clown. When he pulled the third copy of the Constitution from his waist band it was more than obvious what was going on.
But that is an excuse you reserve for republicans, since you've already addressed democrats who voted similarly as critters.
Now, don't assume that I didn't know you'd make a shameless 180-degree, again.
You failed on that attempt. I don't think you can find the place where I accused Democrats of being critters without referring to Republicans along with them. Just so you can know, I once read where someone during the Civil War referred to Congress critters and thought it was very cute so I often refer to Congress critters but never to one party or the other as critters. Nope, I don't call the enemy critter where politics are concerned, they all get it the same.

Colbert asked this question to Piers Morgan after Morgan spoke out about the 2nd Amendment. I got a kick out of this video where Colbert had to hand Morgan at least three Constitutions so he could read the thing.
He called attention to the fact that the UK does not have a written Constitution or a Second Amendment and Morgan's answer had to be that we don't have any guns followed by the fact they do have 40 or 50 shootings each year. Maybe Morgan is very liberal in thought since he didn't seem to understand what he had said.
I like the Constitution but would like to see it as a more strict control over any part of the federal government. I would like to see an amendment that would impose a ten year expiration on any act of the federal government that is NOT an actual ratified and adopted amendment and any renewal of that act of government would require a two thirds majority of BOTH houses of Congress.
Which, oddly enough, will only affect the neocons, people who watch Sarah Palin in reality shows and anyone who watches Suzy Orman. And Wayne LaPierre. I expect him to stand up to them blazing away and looking tremendously macho. Boy, is he going to be surprised to find out wood chippers would have been much more effective.
So you really don't know what The Rapture is to be. You ought have stayed away from that answer.
