And statements like this are much different from, say, being a racist or homophobe, how exactly?

Stereotyping and demeaning a whole group... hypocrite.

That is false, but I am sure you read all about it on the internet.

Does anyone read anymore or do you all just take the "headlines" as FACT ?

That survey resulted in 36% of Americans question Obama's birth.
64% of those 36% asked are Republicans.

It's 64% of 36% of 814 people questioned.
NOT 64% of all registered Republicans in America.
That's 184 people. 184 people represent ALL registered Republicans in America ?

Took me all of 5 minutes to figure that one out.

The "dumbing down of America" is going strong.

No. It was on ABC nightly news.

“This conspiracy theory is much more widely believed mostly because it’s been discussed so often,” said Dan Cassino, a professor of political science at Fairleigh Dickinson. “People tend to believe that where there’s smoke, there’s fire — so the more smoke they see, the more likely they are to believe that something is going on.”

In the case of people who believe in birferism, it is the people smoking something, and then trying to blow smoke up everyone else's rectum.

The article points out that more educated people don't believe that there is fire, or smoke. I take that to mean the ignorant, less educated people do, which says it all.

This.

Minus the "murky past" part, of course. Nothing "murky" at all about his past - unless you're a deluded birther.

You also realize that a "poll" is a 'sampling", not the entire population. If they're trying to be accurate about it, they'll sample a dozen people in NYC, a dozen in LA, a dozen in Atlanta, a dozen in Cleveland, etc. Otherwise, they won't tell you that they've gone into Miami and got all 814 from one location and claim they represent the whole country. Good propaganda. Just go to a Democrat or Republican location and get the results you want and see just how much it sways the rest of the country. From the way I've heard other people talking about poll results, it could be a pretty effective ploy.

I don't put a lot of stock in polls. They're too easily flawed and biased.

That does not stop the questions from living on and on and on. Only real answers will change that.

Now, if the polls were done like the popular vote, you might find that 50% of the people have questions, and they could be evenly split between Dems and Reps. Since it's not done that way, we don't honestly know.

I went to the site where they said the poll/questions/tables were and could not find the poll at all.
Questions can be posed to get the answer you want and I wanted to see what the questions were and could not find it.

The poll was conducted by Fairleigh Dickinson University, the largest independent university in New Jersey. It is apparent with the Poll results, Rush isn't alone in his thinking. You see, the press all the time say's that all the "birther" theories have been PROVEN false. They have not, especially Sheriff Arpaio's findings that the PDF of Obama's long form birth certificate was fraudulent as well as his selective service registration with a 2 digit altered 'Pica U.S. Postal Date Stamp'. The Selective Service ONLY accepted registrations with a 4 digit pica date stamp. More recently the Obama loving press like to add that Hawaii has "certified" the LFBC when their "Verification of Birth" is INVALID on it face because it is UNDATED and RUBBER STAMP signed with initials of someone unknown. Furthermore it does NOT list Obama's Date-of-Birth since a birth-document via Hawaii DOH 338 - 17.8 does not require "proof" of Date-of-Birth. I submit that their refusal to use the words "CERTIFY" and "TRUE & ACCURATE" and instead "indicates" and "information matches" is not legally definitive. People can read through the bull**** that Obama/Hawaii is trying to perpetuate upon the American people and this 'Old Army Soldier' is not buying it either.

If someone pp'd on your head, and the person sitting next to you said, ah, don't worry, it's only raining, would you believe that person?

lol

Deluded birthers will believe anything bad about President Obama because they just can't accept that there is a black man with a foreign-sounding name in the WHITE House - and that he is there not as a servant, but as the PRESIDENT.

So, yes, if that person telling them that it was raining were someone like, say, Orly Titz or Donald Trump, they will believe it - despite all the evidence to the contrary.
