NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nashville Sporting Arms owner Chris Tenpenny is one of many who has a problem with President Obama's gun control plan.

"Should doctor's have the right when I go for a check up to ask me if I've got any guns in my house no I don't think that's none of their business," said Tenpenny.

Unless they are treating a gun shot wound, it's none of their business.

Default News, Should Doctors Ask About Gun Ownership?

If you're concealing one in your colon, yeah!

They have the right to ask anything. And I have the right to change doctors if they waste my time asking about things that I don't think they should ask.

Psychiatrists should be able to ask a suicidal person if they have a gun in the house which they can't do now thanks to the NRA lobbyists---or if they express a desire to kill others. Pediatricians should be able to talk to parents of kids about locking up their guns considering how many little kids die from accidental gun shots, which they can't do now thanks to the NRA. But as a routine question in a routine check up without due cause? No, a doctor shouldn't be able to ask about gun ownership just to go on an unfounded fishing trip.
