Why is it then do the police get SPECIAL consideration, are they ABOVE the law? Are the police's lives MORE important than the citizens lives? It not logical. Nobody knows how many bullets someone needs if their house is broken into & attacked.

This is typical of Liberal knee-jerk reaction. Hurry up and jam something through without taking the time to think it through fully. Happens ALL THE TIME!

I wonder how NY would take it if all the firearms owners got up and left to other more gun friendly states. think of all the taxes, income, businesses and congressional representation that would go to other states?

This legislation shows how hastily they wanted to put more bans on guns, by not exempting police & exploiting Sandy Hook.

Wow... you people are nuts!

Police actually want to work for you with the attitude that you people possess?!?! Ridiculous.

What officer would want to chase down criminals, that will still have assault rifles, by the way, and put their lives on the line for idiots like you who believe police shouldn't carry more than 7 rounds in a magazine?

Sorry people, but you are not out every day, in a dangerous enviornment, dealing with thugs, gang bangers, drug dealers, and other offenders like police officers.

You people up north are straight up crazy!

well, my cousin who used to live in Rome NY and had a plumbing business, he has moved most of his shop and his home to Idaho. he was tired of all the regulation and the gun banning laws and had decided with his wife to go someplace more hospitable. looks like they are getting it in Pocatello, Idaho.

talking to cousin now, he tells me that his shop employed 12 people in it in Rome NY and he fired all when none wanted to move to Idaho. so 12 more unemployed in NY.

I can see it now... Internal invesigstors ask officer why the shooter got away. Officer says he shot the perp 7 times in the torso before realizing he must have body armor on. Before he could reload to shoot head of perp the perp had shot his parner and was gone.

I don't agree with the mag-cap, but you have a valid argument.
