"Accidental shootings at gun shows in North Carolina, Indiana and Ohio left five people injured Saturday."
"At the Dixie Gun and Knife Show in Raleigh, a 12-gauge shotgun discharged as its owner unzipped its case...injuring three people"
"In Indianapolis...Emory L. Cozee was loading his .45 caliber semi-automatic when he shot himself in the hand...Loaded personal weapons aren't allowed inside the show."
"in Ohio, a gun dealer in Medina was checking out a semi-automatic handgun...when he accidentally pulled the trigger...The gun's magazine had been removed from the firearm, but one round remained in the chamber...it appears the bullet ricocheted off the floor and struck his friend in the arm and leg. The man was taken by helicopter to a hospital 30 miles north in Cleveland"
Point? If I list auto accidents, I don't think we have enough pages.
Again - your comment doesnt make sense. There are far more cars in the nation than guns and the number of deaths are about the same. Cars are used to make lives productive - the accidents are incidental. Slamming cars to justify your gun fetish won't help you.
There isn't any such thing as a "accident" with a firearm.
It's call a "negligent discharge" for a reason.
You simply cannot account for every foolish thing everyone does with a weapon.....Police included. Hence the coined phrase "Glock Leg". = Some dumb**** LE cannot keep his finger off the trigger when holstering his weapon. Also he doesn't check to varify he has a empty chamber before dryfiring for a fieldstrip cleaning takedown.

That's how we have all these father-less children in this country, negligent discharge!

There are (approx) 254,212,610 cars in the USA and 32,000 deaths, conversely there are 300,000,000 guns in the USA and 8,500 deaths. Productivity is debatable, what is the best way to stop a criminal or rapist if you don't have a gun.
Watch me make this Obama's fault... He is the number 1 seller of firearms. Gin'n up that fear has some buying their first gun without really knowing proper handling. This was bound to happen when every gun in American retail has be sold. Good job Obama, 5 people injured.
