Europe has more mass murders than the U.S. | The Crimson Pirate

From the link:

Quote:
Finally there is a break down of annual averages. In the U.S. the yearly average of people killed in mass killing is 10.6, whereas in Europe it is 12.5. And again there is this interesting little tid bit:

“all the multiple-victim public shootings in Western Europe have occurred in places where civilians are not permitted to carry guns. The same is true in the United States: All the public shootings in which more than three people have been killed have occurred in places where civilians may not legally bring guns. “

Clearly criminals and psychopaths prefer unarmed victems. I find it very interesting that people get up in arms (pardon the pun) over the killings listed above when governments kill far more people than any of the mass murderers in the previous examples.

These posts always get ignored. They waiting for Pat Robertson to say something dumb and then they start posting.

good post, eye-opening. Of course the biggest mass murders occurred during the 20th century by governments of their own citizens. But now we are supposed to trust the gov't over the individual. The gun control crowd is loathe to post on a thread like this. Instead they will wait for a thread where they can post a talking point, and then skedaddle when challenged.

Just another example of proof that Americans are being propagandized to believe Americans are out of control nut cases whose rights have to be slowly removed.

Best thing to do is turn off cable TV and search for answers yourself, like this OP did.

best,
toodie

That is interesting; other than the Norway atrocity, I haven't heard of any mass killings in Europe for awhile now.

Who cares, we should worry about our own problems.

I'm not so sure about the OP....sounds fishy.

Now history most certainly shows that Europeans are the most proficient killing machines in world history. But to portray Europe as a continent full of random mass shootings is bull. No truth in it at all.

I have not fully checked this out yet but do you have any evidence that the statistics, 12.5 versus 10.6 deaths a year, are a fabrication? Are our we just basing are opinions on the "common wisdom" which so often has been proven wrong? Do you really believe laws deter suicidal and homicidal maniacs? If ya do not give a damn if you live or die do you think an additional few years for possessing an illegal weapon matters one bit?

Suicidal and homicidal maniac: I think I will go shoot a couple dozen people and then kill myself when the cops show up.

Bob: Do not use an assault rifle or you will get an extra five years.

Suicidal and homicidal maniac: Bob, if ya think that is gonna stop me ya crazier than I am.
