Romney stated they would move production from the U.S to China. That is a lie period. He still lied.
However, Marchione dodged the issue. The Romney ad never said that the Jeep brand was going to move to China — it only said that Chrysler was going to build Jeeps in China.

The Romney ad didn't say all jobs would be shifted or the entire production would be shifted, however what it did state is that jobs would be moved from U.S to China. That was a lie, and is a lie. Additional production is being done in Chin, but American jobs aren't being shifted there to do so.
Whoever wrote that article seems to be not entirely informed on the matter. When Mitt Romney said that about Jeep, he already knew they were going to build Jeeps in China. They are not moving U.S. production of Jeeps to China. They are just creating additional manufacturing plants in China. Big difference.
The last two weeks should go down as a period of vindication for former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney and earn him the nickname, “soothsayer of the Western World” — a modern-age Nostradamus.
On Jan. 14, Chrysler’s CEO acknowledged that Jeeps would be built in China, confirming a statement that unfairly earned Romney the moniker “liar of the year.” Score one.
Romney was the logical choice for president for anyone who was not wed to the principles of communism or had an IQ above 100.
However, we have over half of the population that is dependent upon "treats" from the democrats and are not interested in working any longer. Therefore, the nation has arrived at a "single party" system, in which the democrats just need to keep spending, hand over fist, and give a dependent, non productive componant of the electorate gifts from the treasury until the nation becomes insolvent. Results?
1. Democratic politicians become very wealthy by looting the treasury and giving "treats" to "the poor"
2. The nation collapses economically from the above. The democratic politicians walk away, wealthy, to some remote location.
3. The poor are much worse off than they ever have been, as there will be no "support systems" remaining for them.
Advantage- democratic politicians Losers- the nation as whole and particularly the poor.
How in the world do you think that Harry Reid went from a net worth of $350,000 prior to being in the senate to being worth $25 million now? That would require a 35% annual return on investment from his "salary" as a Senator. Why is Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) worth $225 million after "service" in the Senate?
You libs are morons and have been duped by those who suggest to "represent" your interests. Wake up. The US, prior to liberalism, was the best chance that ANYONE in the world had to become wealthy by hard work and ingenuity. You have been duped and betrayed by politicians who have sold you the promise of "security" and have robbed you of the best opportunity for advancement in the history of mankind. Good job, idiots!

Romney was not a logical choice for anyone except Republican Teabaggers - hell the guy didnt even want to be President. How embarrassing is that for you guys who were trolled into voting for him?
"Public expressed collective outrage"? That's essentially wishcasting on the part of PolitiFact, nor are they accurately representing what Mitt Romney said in the ad. In fact, here's PolitiFact's original "fact check" on the matter:
[Mitt Romney] Says Barack Obama "sold Chrysler to Italians who are going to build Jeeps in China" at the cost of American jobs.
Reuters) - Fiat (FIA.MI) and its U.S. unit Chrysler expect to roll out at least 100,000 Jeeps in China when production starts in 2014 as they seek to catch up with rivals in the world's biggest car market.
Output could double, the Italian carmaker's Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne, without giving a precise timeframe. Fiat sees at least 100,000 Jeeps made in China in 2014 | Reuters
Like I said, those are Jeeps that could have been produced here.
And Romney was right.
Toyota makes cars here, but they're a Japanese company. Mercedes makes cars here, but they're a German company. Oh, no....let me get all outraged that they're making some Jeeps in China.
This is what Romney said: "sold Chrysler to Italians who are going to build Jeeps in China at the cost of American jobs"
Romney was and is a damn liar. And he says he never wanted to be President.
Ronmey never said that, his son said he never felt his dad wanted to be president. Now this thread has a lot of lies in it as well.
