Liberals are now claiming that the same amount of Jeeps will be made in the U.S. and the Jeeps made in China will be for the chinese market. Lets wait to see how many Jeeps are loaded on a ship, go across the Pacific ocean, off loaded at the Port of Los Angeles, open the hood and see a 'made in china' tag.
Will Romney haters then admit they were wrong? I doubt it.
If it was profitable to manufacture cars overseas, and import them why are there so many foreign car makers that have multiple plants here?
If there were profit to be made by importing cars, then none of them would be here opening new plants.
The Jeep plant in China will be producing 100,000-200,000 cars a year. According to the site I linked earlier they currently sell about 20,000 a year in China. By producing the car in the market country the cost of that car will go down in that country. Tariffs, fees, and shipping costs will be eliminated, so the price will go down making the car more affordable to more consumers. The current price for a Jeep in China is 575,900 yuan, or $91,064 for a Jeep that costs $26,995 in the US. The increase in price is due to tariffs, fees, and shipping.
Why don't you want an American company to be competitive in one of the fastest growing car markets?
Also how many fords are imported from China? Ford has manufacturing a plant there. If it were financially viable to manufacture in China, and then import the cars to the US, why aren't more fords imported?

Mitt insist it's true and double down on the lie.
Their campaign kept those ads going.

The proliferation of what Romney knew to be a blatant lie from its inception, was astonishing. It ran a close second to the "You didn't build that" distortion of the facts that the GOP used incessantly at their RNC to bash Obama for the benefit of their dumbed down, gullible constuencies.

PolitiFact loudly proclaimed its "Lie of the Year" to be Mitt Romney’s statement that Jeep would be moving production from the U.S. to China. Romney made the remark during a campaign stop in Ohio and criticized Obama for the move. In response, PolitiFact called Romney a liar and lambasted The Drudge Report for picking up the story when Jeep's parent company denied it. However, Reuters is reporting 100,000 Jeeps will be made in China during 2014. PolitiFact, instead of immediately apologizing, instead conceded the "Lie of the Year" was based in an actual "grain of truth" — then backtracked by saying Jeep building cars in China is a good thing because it’s for a Chinese market, so it basically doesn’t count for the spin they put on Romney's comments. Well, Obama is certainly no "mental giant." I think it is plainly obvious that of the two, Romney vs. Obama, Romney is a genius in comparison to Obama. Let's be real ... Obama has no history of success at anything. He was largely a nobody when he ran for office, and had zero experience at anything that would qualify him.
No wonder he has created such a mess of our economy.
