The birth of this nation started during a Little Ice-Age, so climate change should be something we are used to.

Not quite. We do want to move on to the next best and greatest, but let's not cripple ourselves by allowing the EPA to force a shut down of baseload power plants, like coal-fired power plants without first building a replacement for them.

Well my kids have been freezing on the way to school the last couple days with these zero degree temps. Where the hell is Obama? Why isn't he making it warmer? Swooners tell him to make it warmer please.

Exactly and we want those next gen energy sources on line as soon as possible.

We don’t get that when governments are picking winners and losers. When they do that, we get noxious energy sources that slow down progress and lock us into bad choices like Corn Ethanol and uber expensive and utterly unreliable wind energy.

What we need is the government not picking idiot solar companies that go out of business and hook the public with billions in debt. I don’t mind funding some degree of R&D. I do mind taking expensive and under developed technology and attempting to make them the Gold Standard.

I agree with you. I know many people from different backgrounds, who feel this whole climate change is nothing but a farce.

That it has to do more with power and money, and ripping us little peons off, that would be us.

Climate change is a very complex subject, and people have many disagreements on this topic.

But bet ya this, money is involved.

My response is that I'd like to turn black the clock and remove from office Ronald Reagan and his Amoral Majority, and the Contract on America, the trillions of dollars in bennies he gave to the mega-rich by decreasing their taxes (creating a deficit in revenue), the increases in defense, which have led us down the bankrupt trail for so long, and the deregulation of nearly everything that has sunk us, from banks, to Wall Street, to savings & loans, etc.

R. Reagan and GW Bush created Americas national debt, when they cut rich peoples taxes. The tax cuts created deficits, and that money went to our national debt.

Our debt was also caused by GW Bush, when he attacked Iraq for no reason, and spent $1 trillion dollars doing it.

Also GW Bush's (biggest) tax cuts for rich, kicked in while Obama was in office, so that gave Obama deficits.

Obama is trying to do something about our debt. He is trying to raise rich peoples taxes, and corporate taxes, so our government gets more tax revenue. Democrats also want to save (huge) money by cutting military spending.

But republicans want more tax cuts for the rich, to create deficits, and more national debt.
And they want increased military spending. (When we spend so much money on the military its stupid.)

Didn't you hear Obama? Your mantra is supposed to be "Forward", not backward. Fall into line, why don't you?

(it's really getting tiresome hearing the left parroting liberal media half truths!)
