Also GW Bush's (biggest) tax cuts for rich, kicked in while Obama was in office, so that gave Obama deficits.

Obama is trying to do something about our debt. He is trying to raise rich peoples taxes, and corporate taxes, so our government gets more tax revenue. Democrats also want to save (huge) money by cutting military spending.

But republicans want more tax cuts for the rich, to create deficits, and more national debt.
And they want increased military spending. (When we spend so much money on the military its stupid.)

I haven't seen a more inaccurate post for some time!

Reagan and G.W. Bush gave across-the-board tax cuts. Tax cuts don't cause a deficit... the government receives more revenue after a tax cut. Government revenue almost doubled in the 8 years of Reagan. And government revenue increased by $785 billion from 2004 to 2007 under G.W. Bush.

Maybe we should pay this debt off by putting a huge tax on the planet trashing and planet exploiting corporations.
Sure. Try it. See how well it goes over. Evidently Obama worries so much about the "greater good of the planet" that he's quite willing to sacrifice the greater good of this country. When did he get appointed Chief of the Planet?

I love how the point went way over your head: you are attempting to pass judgment on a very complex scientific issue because your party loyalty demands you to. You haven't the slightest clue as to what you're talking about.

No, to the likes of the nobel laureates and professional scientists that overwhelmingly support global warming theory, and advanced it long before it became a political issue.

That's what the anti-tax cuts people like to claim.

But why did government revenue increase after the Reagan (and John F. Kennedy) tax cuts?
