It all comes back to Reagan eliminating the fairness doctrine and allowing companies to claim anything at all is news even if it is a complete lie. Before then actual news had to be shown by each network at standard times each night and it had to be factually based, fair to all parties involved, giving all sides equal time to make their case, and most of all it had to conform to actual rules of journalism about fairness and accuracy.
We don't have that any more so now every retard on their moped thinks their opinion is the same as a fact and babbling nonsense is some how the equal of a logical and cogent argument.

Most people on the right think what THEIR lord and savior (s), Rush, Hannity, Coulter, have told them to think. They lack the ability to think for themselves.
Why are we so polarized? Minorities and women are told by the left that they are "victims" so they stop trying and go on welfare which has lead to decades of poverty. Thus, we have demcrat voters because no one wants their hand outs stopped. .

Not me. I blame it on the election system set up by the founders - the Electoral College, which strips each individual vote of its full power. It's also the reason third parties aren't represented the way third parties are represented in other advanced nations.
I also blame the fact that campaigns are allowed to be run in such a way that no one can run for office without first bending over for the very rich, since running for office here is not limited, and out-of-control mass adverti$ing is essential to running for office. This results in all politicians being beholden to the mega-rich that paid their way into office.
Demographics show that most urban voters are Democrats. Urban areas have the highest concentration of people. Everyone I've ever seen who is against the electoral system is liberal. Of course, they're against the electoral system because it isn't "fair". So I'm certain it's purely coincidence that doing away with the electoral college would shift power considerably towards the areas they are strongest.
Democracy doesn't work. All a political party has to do to get the results it wants from "democracy" is rob Peter to pay Paul, and then make sure there are more Pauls than there are Peters.
Then they can always count on Paul's vote.
Lately, with the deficits, they just robbing Peter and Paul's children and grandchildren who can't vote yet.
Hate radio has barely a toehold in the USA. Most radio is by Patriots like Rush, Sean, Dennis x2, Mark et al
