President Obama is easily the most popular US President in recent memory. His 2013 Inauguration, although down from the epic turnout at his 2009 Inaugural, is still greater than the inaugurals of all previous Presidents in history. In fact you could add up the inaugurals of the two Bushes together and it would still fall short of Obama's 2013 numbers.
Another testament to Obama's enduring popularity is the fact that he is the only President in history besides Eisenhower to be elected twice with more than 51% of the popular vote. In fact Obama won both his elections with electoral college landslides.
It must suck to be a Republican in the Obama era. It's one thing to contend with the crushing defeats at the polls, but two epic turnouts in a row at his inauguration must be next to unbearable for them.
On the other hand, for Democrats Obama is a godsend. He is the greatest thing to happen to our party since FDR.

Another interesting tidbit, Obama got more individual contributions from average Americans than any other President in history. Also more people signed up and participated in his campaign than any Presidential campaign in history.
it sucks to be an american in the obama era. It's one thing to contend with the crushing tax increases and obamacare, but two terms of epic failure in a row will be unbearable for them.

Its ok, looks like the right is still having a blast doing a play-by-play of events as they saw them transpire:

- Look there, Michelle grimaced at John Boehner... how dare she!
- The president picked his nose there, I saw it!
... and lest we forget, the latest PROOF Obama is not an American citizen.
Needless to say, right-wingers will be plenty busy putting their brains together for more phenomenal observations in the near future.
In all seriousness, I think the president's many successes so far are like water of a duck's back for most repubs. They are programmed to resent the man, and far too proud to admit they've been influenced. They are, after all, fair & balanced individuals.

It's a coping mechanism for them. Realizing they can't defeat Obama at the polls or in the public square, they have resorted to undermine him in all sorts of silly ways. To date all their plans have backfired as Obama is as popular as ever while the GOP remains as popular as STDs.

....and only 23 missed work,...the rest were unemployed and living on the government dole.
You also used that line to pad your wounds after the Nov. 6 landslide defeat. You guys need to stock up on new bandages. Reusing the same adhesive is not healthy.
