What is galling (and I'm a Bob Corker fiscal conserv fan) is the same Repubs who ranted over Clinton's infidelity fail to at least tip their cap to an outstanding family man. Devoted to them, to the extent of admitting after work, that is what he sought to do..be a family man. We've had very few, where the kids were not already grown, devoted solely to family, even at lower levels of government.

I cannot believe the media and what I hear some mornings -

(1) Talking about The First Lady's bangs - I mean, really? Is this a news item? She looks great; save it for the inauguration night.

(2) The President and his wife looked great and have a lovely family. If Barack Obama were not President and you met his family at an event, you'd walk away thinking - "What a lovely family."

(3) Too much made about the supposed eye roll. Please. I don't know these spouses do it - going to endless events. (My husband and I were at a dinner once and he elbowed me - he was very lucky I didn't stand up and bop him one - but let's say it's the very last time he did that).

(4) Commenting on words President Obama said - something like - let me take this in one more time - what's so bad about that?

(5) And hey, didn't Jennifer Hudson do an awesome job up there? Think of all that poor girl has been through. She deserves 100 gold stars and I'd bet she'd trade everything she has to have her mom and other family back.

Why not starting building people UP and stop all the criticism? No wonder our teens and young adults are depressed and many others. Think of when someone tells you something nice - just even something simple how it makes you feel, if you hold the door for someone unexpectedly, etc. Pass it out/play it forward/stop the nastiness/the negativity/it is getting to me.
Economic growth and personal freedom are more important to me than Michelle Obama's hairstyle. I really don't care about the inauguration. I didn't care bout Bush's either.

I like Bob Corker also. I've seen him on CNBC more than a few times - I'm also a Carl Q, David Faber and Erin Burnett fan and I miss Mark Haynes.

But, how true and yes, how refreshing not to have infidelity issues since the year 2000. That's one thing Bush brought back and so did President Obama.

And, this is where, can we all be kind and respectful once in a while? To each other?

I do admire President Obama for his strong family ties and it does show. It's not acting and he and Michelle look so great together - dancing beautifully. Made me want to get up and dance too!! LOL.

(On a side note - as a parent, it wasn't too much fun to have Clinton's testimony in the newspaper and one of my daughter's classes (freshman in HS) studying the whole thing. Never should have happened; Clinton should have owned up to it and that should have been it; most knew he was a womanizer anyway-I'm sure he's a nice guy but some are just like that - can't help themselves).

I agree, while I find using impeachment as a sore loser tactic juvenile, Bill Clinton should have openly admitted his infidelity as soon as it became public knowledge.

Bob Corker often disagrees with the president, but I have yet to see him disrespectful towards either the office or the occupant. Those who fail to adhere to such standards discredit only themselves.

I liked the economy under Clinton, but as to the people they are, hands down IMO President Obama is the better man. He and W have been the 2 most comfortable being themselves I have seen as POTUS during my life.

Barack Obama came from a broken family. After his father left, Barack only saw him one other time in his life. You can tell that he isn't making the same mistakes now that he has his own family. He is a loving husband and a devoted father. That family should be a role model for all of us.

Unfortunately, some people don't seem to realize that politics doesn't have to be personal. You can disagree with Obama's policies but applaud his family values. I guess they see it as a weakness to admire him for anything, because it's a tacit admission of his humanity, and so many losers like Rush Limbaugh want everyone to believe that he is pure evil.

Funny. I live in America, and I don't feel like I lost.
