Thankfully we did have sex education.
When I was about 9 I saw a tampon, but didn't know what it was. I asked my mom, but didn't get answer
Exactly!!!

I feel sorry for kids today. There's no thrill of triumph in finding a well-hidden magazine or book when you can just google anything you can imagine.
HaHa, yes.

MrsScales is on a distinguished road
I have an 11 year old daughter and 8 year old son. It is my right to expose them to sex when I feel it is appropriate. My parents talked to me about sex when I was 13. When I was 15 my mother opened the door to birth control. The school had already informed me that I didn't need my mother's permission(wtf). These days I think the schools are trying to take the authority of the parents. I "do not" want the schools, government, or anyone else giving my kids information on sex. I'm okay with them teaching the kids about the changes there bodies will go through as they mature, but handing out sex material is where I draw the line.

The religious parents can just tell the children to IGNORE the pamphlets, just like they teach their children to IGNORE what their science teachers say about evolution. Simple!

Yes, and as long as people exist and act human, accidents will continue to happen, again an again.

Get the Warren Commision involved and see if they can shed any light on the “conspiracy” in our midst.

People who automatically assume a conspiracy when…. Shhhh shhh, make sure the kids are not around….sex….is involved.

I have enough problems trying to explain to my children why there are ignorant and bigoted people in the world, why people die, the myth of religion, the rights people have but why some people choose to give them up to use government authority to oppress others, and why sex is a natural occurrence in nature and should not be some “bad icky” thing. War is bad, sex is natural and good.

Parental rights and parental and parental notification are being eroded and there is clear intent to expose children to graphic adult sex before the age of reason, before they can really understand the risks and responsibilities of sex.

I was a manager in a restaurant and one day a couple of strippers came in. Out of curiosity I ask them about their profession. They said they had three goals. “Get them talking about sex. Get them thinking about sex. Get them thinking about having sex with you.”

I think that is the goal being used towards children. It will be interesting to see who or what group distributed these pamphlets.

You right, the government has no reason to provide students with medically and scientifically accurate literature or education in sexual matters.

It was stated in the article that it was the local health department. Health Departments are well known for their abhorent conspiracies against the health and well being of the community.

When my oldest son was a toddler he would repeat every commercial almost word for word. Imah=gine my embarrassment when he repeated a talk between mother and daughter about feeling fresh.(massengil). OMG!!! it was awful. My point is that kids are exposed to all sorts of stuff beyond our control. Of course I would have been highly upset had my 10 year old "accidently" recieved one of those pamphlets.
