It is an emotional issue for some retards, but in this place we live called reality, it leads to nothing but conflict. There is no demonstrable benefit in regards to racial diversity.

"Racial" diversity and "Multiculturalism" are two entirely different things.

In fact, it is arguable that diverse racial populations living within the same cultural framework will ultimately be more harmonious than an ETHNICALLY diverse population adopting a multicultural approach.

Exactly what I would have said. This isn't about race but cultural and ethnic divide.

No. He's a leader with a platform. Do you confine your comments to those that are your representatives?

A leader of what? Rangel holds no leadership positions in Congress.

And no to your question. However, I don't obsess over inconsequential comments made by congressional backbenchers either.

Being in Congress is a leadership postiion in itself. If you don't care, that's fine. To me, I find it problematic that he can say this and get no response. If a republican Congressman had said we needed to overcome a particular culture, it would be a national story. If someone as simple as a radio host had said that it would have been a big story. I'm not obsessed about it. I do find it hypocritical and I do find that the lack of concern shows a double standard, and I am going to point that out. You're free to care about such things if you wish or not care.

Why are you putting words in my mouth?
