I know an ex-NFL player, life post football can be a big minefield for them already last thing they need are brain issues.

It's like smokers families suing big tobacco.

Rather than holding themselves responsible for getting Seau involved with the sport as a kid.

Really? Those suits were won based upon the evidence that tobacco companies knowingly conspired to hide evidence that tobacco products were a health risks while at the same time making claims to the contrary.

If the these suits can demonstrate a concerted effort on the part of the NFL to knowingly conceal the dangers posed by head injuries, then it is a worth litigation. So unless you have evidence to the contrary your opinion is about as relevant as the ratio of opinion's to anal sphincters.

Youre crazy. Players are full aware of the risk banging your head numerous times over 20 years of action. Junior was active in the NFL when players were to sit in on mandatory seminars explaining the danger of the sport.

Of course this is the land where no one takes responsibility for their "own" actions. Not to mention these players are well aware of how to lie about concussions to Doctors. I do feel for Seau, but his Family doesnt deserve a red cent.

Not to mention that they are WELL PAID, and knowingly entered into the sport knowing full well that it is a contact sport.

Honestly, I think this was Juniors plan all along. No doubt he was in considerable pain from his long NFL career, it's hell on the body. But the fact that he was bankrupt and shot himself in the chest so that his brain could be immediately studied for signs of CTE... I figured the lawsuit would be filed quickly.

Ive thought about that as well, but it would never happen. Football is one the one thing Most Americans love and adore. There is not a judge, arbitrator, or jury in the world that would be reposible for the death of AMerican football. Not to mention it would kill college football as well. Athletes would not prepare and put their bodies on the line every saturday if there was not a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow (NFL).

Local economies would crash all over the nation. Most college town restaurants and businesses make their entire year during football season. Not to mention all of the NFL stadiums that employ a ton of folks. It would be catastrophic.

Tobacco use has been linked to cancer and heart disease since the 1920's.

Football has been linked to injuries and death since... well the beginning of football.

I thought you were pro-choice.
