Wayne LaPierre salary at $970,000, how does he justify that kind of compensation and he started out as a lobbyist.

By the way he was never in the military, I wonder why because he was at draft age when he graduated HS.

Where did all the money go? About $33 million went to salaries and wages (not including the top brass), $28 million went to advertising and promotions.

.................................................. ......................
As for salaries, fifty-six people in the organization earned more than $100,000 in 2010—and 10 made more than $250,000. Lapierre does not top the list. Kayne B. Robinson, the executive director of general operations does. He was paid just over $1 million. Lapierre was second, pulling in $970,000 in reportable and estimated comp.
Chris W. Cox, the executive director of the group’s lobbying efforts, was third. He earned just over $666,000.

The NRA is nothing but a lobbyist group that bankrolls themselves off of the idiots.

He sold his soul for $970,000. Pretty cheap for the eternity he'll be spending in hell. Not worth it IMO.

He doesn't have to justify it to anyone- especially anti gun moonbats. I read his bio and he went to college and grad school which took him past 1973 when the draft ended. You can stop wondering now. Feel better? Of course not because that wasn't the answer you were hoping for.

Likely for the same reason many weren't, student deferments or a high draft number. I doubt, though, that he ever wrote a letter to a college professor declaiming how he "loathed" the military.

What most others have said, who cares.....

However, $970,000 is a drop in the bucket for CEO....

As CEO of General Electric in 2007, Immelt earned a total compensation of $14,209,267, which included a base salary of $3,300,000, a cash bonus of $5,800,000, stocks granted of $4,713,000,
I'd be more worried about the person sending jobs overseas, but as usual, the left is worried about nothing....

Maybe for Goldman Sachs but for the NRA?

I noticed that he graduated in HS 1967 but didn't see that he didn't have a military record, I wonder if he used the Ted Nugent trick to get out of the service or he just had a high lottery number.
