This will probably be a good education for young citizens in general. It's about time merikens got over the idea of nudity is shameful or something people don't do.
I mean really. Lot of Americans, particularly the Republicans, don't have respect for the female body, thinking its apiece of meat that's begging to be raped. No wonder Republicans are the largest consumers of porn in the US, yet the ones most vocal about having even a little bit of boob or behind on display on TV
They'll have to meet the same standards for lifting stuff as everybody else. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that not all men make it through training, and not all are capable of lifting your 50lb tool box and whatever.
Just because some can't do the thing you had to do, does not mean that all women should be automatically excluded from all combat. And if some can, and are capable of, then they're just as entitled as American citizens to do it as you. If you don't like it - tough.
Are you ignorant and not reading my postings just to argue? In this thread, I have stated some women CAN do it, but those women in my 21 years experience have been counted on my single hand. Nice try, but reading is fundamental....

I work in an industry made up of 99% men. I have heard all of these excuses ad infinitum for over 30 years. A lot of the men I've worked with have said the exact same thing.... until they worked with me.

what are you talking about. Read my original comment. I was commenting on somebody elses quote about showers. Why are you so bitter towards me? When talking about coed units is showering not a clear issue? What do you mean what i have to say as an israeli vet? this is about coed infantry not war stories from isreal. I don't think so. After a few are taken prisoner and raped to death with a steel rod the rest will fight to the last.. So far the raping us said to have been by their own comrades in arms.
That will happen as it does in civilian land, but the enemy may be far worse. The enemy we seem to have these days are rather primitive peoples, that the gun grabbing liberal left love. I can't understand that, but it is what it is.
Actually there are plenty of rules. In Chechnya it was the Russians doing most of the raping. Granted there was almost no Russian women for us to rape. When one of our own raped a girl, it became a huge deal, and we went to his house (off duty at the time), gave him a short trial, and we took him out back and shot him in the head. The girl he was raped was from a neighboring village, and was Chechen. If she was Russian, we might have executed him, but in the end it was Christian Russians doing the raping. Mostly when drunk. One solider raped a girl that couldn't even have been 6 years old, she bled to death.
I don't understand your wording... you shot the rapist in the head after a trial, isn't that executed ?

People who have never been in a war, think it's all Hollywood, with bombs dropping in every few seconds, and one charging enemy after another, 24/7. Much of war is tedious boredom, frustration, fear, anxiety, followed by boredom, frustration....
Sex is a great reliever of pent up tension and frustration... and the front lines has hundreds of hormone enraged young people. Add a person of the opposite sex into the mix, and put sexual tension and frustration on a soldier's mind every hour of the day, on top of....tedious boredom, frustration, fear, anxiety, followed by boredom, frustration....
Most of CD-Data equates military life to life in an average college co-ed dorm.
Those words reminded me of a picture my son sent back from Kuwait. He was upset about the fine sand drifting into his office. In the pic was his face looking at all these little piles of sand he swept up with a shaving brush, on his desk. It just about drove him over the edge. That sand killed his camera too... The stuff is like talc... Might be i am telling you what you what you know..... sorry if so..
Just disagreeing with what you wrote in post #10. (And noting the ridiculousness of this whole thread. Women WILL serve in combat. They already are getting shot and killed while serving. They are already giving the full measure of devotion. It's about time this country recognized their role as FULL members of the United States military. )

Please point out where I said I was in the military? I never even vaguely inferred that I was in the military.
I said I work in profession made up of 99% men - YOU'RE the one that assumed it was the military.
